We love home staging and working within our clients budgets — sometimes that is a huge challenge!  Who wants to invest in decor that may not work in their new homes or that has to be moved across the country?

We’re always on the search for cool decor at bargain prices.

We found these ferns at a clearance sale at a fabric store.  The bases were pale green plastic and they weren’t very attractive.  For about $2 I thought they looked great . . . especially when I get done with them!

I love oiled rubbed bronze spray paint and spray painted these bases, but they didn’t have the look I needed for my current project, so I ended up painting them with a dark chocolate brown paint made for plastics. . .

perfect!

I needed chocolate brown to tie together the art, towels, and decor for a bathroom staging job which had dated turquoise tile.

Here’s a blog I wrote recently about some new color combinations that are fresh ideas for decorating with turquoise.  It is becoming an extremely popular color so if you have turquoise tile don’t tear it out!  Find a decorating color combination that you can use to make it look fresh and new!

Our pic doesn’t do justice to the improved “feel” of this space!

Here are photos of this staging job.   With the dark chocolate decor and artwork that has the turquoise and chocolate brown the room no longer looks dated, but cool and contemporary!  Don’t you love those $2 ferns!
